Ah! Love it. I’m excited for you, Floreta. Portland will miss you too, methinks. But it’ll be worth the separation.
.-= Chase´s last blog ..Back from India! =-.
Yes! Well worth the separation, Chase
I can always come back… Definitely one of my ‘homes’
I took those pictures tonight and quite proud of how they turned out! And it was just TOO perfect that there’s silhouettes of people dragging luggage in the last picture.. that was something I didn’t realize I had captured until after I uploaded them onto my computer. A “happy accident”!
hello Floreta!
a belated wish for a prosperous and healthy 2010.
kudos on your new presence, it has a nice, clean look
and we love the new banner. sophisticated, luv.
fashion pet peeves.
we’ve heard from women driven apoplectic by
men’s penchant for wearing their belts
UNDER the leather brand tag on their blue-jeans.
(our best guess is that
they question why anyone over a twenty-eight waist-size
would want to air their girth.) fatdom aside, sartorially
they are correct. the belt is meant to be worn OVER
the leathertag. {fellas take note.}
our own fashion pet-peeve is black leather shoes
(most especially the patent-leather,
and/or classic wingtip; but basically ANY black leather shoe)
worn with BLUE jeans (dungarees).
the sight of this combo makes us wanna puke.
(discreetly, of course.)
we trace this abversion back to our mispent youth
when black shoes worn with jeans indicated
a federal agent.
the VERY prim J. Edgar Hoover
required all of HIS G-Men to wear proper oxford shoes
at ALL times, even when under-cover, and presumably
even when wearing HIS own fave: the tutu.
all of which leads us to our (compound) question of you,
as per your request.
Floreta, do you have a Fashion pet-peeve?
if so, what is it? (and, describe its origination.)
if not. why, given that many people HAVE
a fashion pet-peeve, do you suppose that you do not?
hope this helps with your life-book.
again, your new look? gotsta luvitt!
Hi Ero-
These are hard questions! I’m not really a fashionista..
Fashion pet-peeve. Untied shoes? haha. I like function over fashion. Comfort. I also am over hipsters. The fashion. It’s just so, “trying too hard”. I don’t like to try very hard with how I dress. As long as I don’t mismatch..I’m fine.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you’ll come see my new digs soon
Good luck in for the rest of your days in Portland. I still have 1 month to go and I may count down the days soon, hehe…
.-= My Kafkaesque Life´s last blog ..My resolutions for 2010 =-.
I will definitely have fun.
So I don’t really consider leaving “too bad”. lol.
I’ve actually only been back to Portland for two months before my next stop. It’s getting real!
